Vintage 1900 Paris World's Fair Postcard
The Exposition Universelle of 1900 was held in Paris and was a celebration of the achievements of the past century. The predominant style of the expo was Art Nouveau.
The expo was held from April 15th to November 12th and more than 50 million people attended. The expo had 76,000 exhibitors and earned a profit of 7 million francs for the French government.
Talking films and escalators were first introduced at this expo and Campbell soup was awarded a gold medal which still appears on their labels.
