The first American postcard was created in 1863 in Springfield, Massachusetts as a means to send a quick note to someone, kind of like email and text messages are used today and only the Post Office could print them until 1898. That was the year that Congress passed the Private Mailing Card Act which allowed anyone to print and produce postcards. In 1908 more than 677 million postcards were mailed.

These would be so cute to create your own little postcards, note cards or stationary. Those of you who create fabric postcards to send through the mail can print these off onto printer fabric to create your own unique postcards.
Enjoy!
