Crow or Raven?
Did you know that a raven and crow are different birds?
Here are some differences:
Ravens are larger than crows. A raven is about the size of a hawk and a crow about the size of a pigeon.
A crow's tail is a more rounded, fan shape while a raven's tail is a more pointed, wedge shape.
A raven weighs about 4 times more than a crow.
Crows are about 17 inches long while a raven is usually between 24 and 27 inches long.
The wingspan of a crow is about 2.5 feet while a raven's is 3.5 to 4 feet.
The beaks of the two birds are also different: a raven's beak is curved.
The sounds that the two birds make are also different: the crow makes a caw sound while a raven makes a croaking sound.
